This can hardly be called a recipe; it is more of a technique.
Karl’s Whole Roasted Yam
1 two pound jewel yam
1. Rinse and scrub the skin to abrade it enough that the steam can escape.
2. Put it on the grill, away from direct heat, and close the lid.
3. Turn the yam every 10-15 minutes.
4. Cook for 40-50 minutes, until a knife slides in easily.
5. Cut into portion slices and serve with butter on the side.
