Karl’s Jolokia Chocolate Chicken Fajita Tacos

Tacos are a favorite meal around my house. I usually make some version once a week—although rarely on Tuesday. Jan had brought some ghost pepper products back from a trip to Monterey, one of which was Jolikia Hot Chocolate mix from the Pepper Palace. I decided to try using it in a taco dish—chocolate and chilies is a traditional Mexican combination.

Karl’s Chicken Taco Soup

Jan had asked for chicken tacos for dinner, but I had a temporary crown put in today. I needed soft food with a small amount of chewing. I decided to turn the tacos into a soup.

Karl’s Leftover Chicken Fajita Tacos

I had made a chili chicken for Sunday’s dinner and had plenty of chicken to work with in making other meals. If the chicken is already cooked, tacos are a quick and easy weeknight meal. If you have not roasted a chicken, a deli chicken  makes a good substitute.
